New details have emerged from the accident that took the life of an 18-year-old woman on Thursday evening in Durrës.
It is learned that the 'BMW X5' vehicle was traveling at high speed, which is suspected to have caused the car to fall from the Dajlan Bridge.
As a result of the accident, an 18-year-old woman lost her life, while the driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old from Fier, was seriously injured and is in hospital. According to local police, two pedestrians, aged 33 and 35, were also injured.
Police and firefighters intervened to remove the people from the vehicle, while the investigation team continues to work to fully clarify the circumstances and causes of the accident.
Repair works are currently being carried out on the Dajlan Bridge overpass.
It is suspected that speed and a wrong maneuver to avoid the situation on the road caused the vehicle to go off the road and end up under the overpass.
