The car with Slovenian license plates that monitored the last movements of Brilant Martinaj and his two friends who were executed at the Fushë Krujë overpass last summer was sent to be dismantled for spare parts at a service station in Kosovo.
This is the answer that the Slovenian justice authorities brought to the Albanian investigators, directing the latter to turn their eyes to Kosovo in search of traces and evidence of the mafia assassination.
After receiving the answer to the first order letter, the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has requested additional information from Slovenia, while through a second order letter it is requesting information from Kosovo regarding the car service where the dismantling of the vehicle in question would be done. Prosecutors want to know who is the person who took the car to the service and in what period. If this clue is secured, then prosecutors may have a new path to shed light on the serious crime.
Brilant Martinaj and his two friends Besmir Hoxha and Dikler Vata were shot dead at noon on July 17, 2022 at the Fusha Kruja overpass.
Investigators suspect that Brilant Martinaj was killed due to the clash of criminal groups in drug trafficking and the continuation of continuous assassinations, during which people closely related to Ervis Martinaj, described as the king of gambling, were executed.
After the mafia assassination in Fushë Krujë, the Martinaj family denounced the disappearance without a trace of Ervis Martinaj, who was wanted internationally after the testimony of the repentant justice, Nuredin Dumani, whose fate remains a mystery even today. / Balkan Web
