Police officer Admir Okaj was assaulted with hard objects today near his house in the Zdrale area.
According to the official police announcement, it is suspected that during a momentary conflict, for weak motives, Ormir Gocia, 47 years old, injured the head with hard objects, officer Admir Okaj, 49 years old, a resident of Shkodër.
It is learned that during the conflict, the service weapon of officer Okaj was fired involuntarily, but without causing damage.
Meanwhile, in relation to this event, AMP is carrying out actions to clarify the circumstances of the use or not of the firearm, as well as to determine whether the firing of the weapon was involuntary.
"Around 15:45, it is suspected that during a momentary conflict, for weak motives, the citizen OG, 47 years old, injured the citizen AO, 49 years old, resident of Shkodër (police employee, outside service), who is receiving treatment at the regional hospital of Shkodra and is out of danger for life.
During the conflict, it is suspected that the police officer's service weapon was fired involuntarily, but without causing any damage.
The Police Services, upon receiving the notification, immediately went to the scene and continue combing the area, for the capture of the 47-year-old.
