The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has completed the investigations and has sent to the court the file for the murder of Edmond Papa, an event that happened on December 16, 2022.
Albano Velo, who is in handcuffs, and Andrew Bode, who has been declared internationally wanted, have been charged by the prosecution.
According to the prosecution, Velo was the victim's observer, while Bode was the executor.
The police suspect that he may have left the country illegally, since the TIMS system does not show that he has gone to any of the border crossing points.
Their discovery came after the inspection of security cameras, where Bode appears near a car wash with an "Audi" type car, which the associate Albano Velo sent to wash.
The tool was used to preserve the movements of the businessman Edmond Papa, as well as to remove the perpetrator of the event after the murder. Bode had arrived at the scene in a rented Smart.
Investigators tell "Ora News" that after 44-year-old Edmond Papa was shot, author Andrew Bode left in an Audi driven by Velo.
The two traveled together on the Tirana-Durres highway, came back and stopped at a gas station, and Bode got off in the "Astir" area.
After that, Bode took a taxi and went to his apartment in Kodra o Diellit area. A day after the incident, the suspected perpetrator approached the scene of the crime, taking the parked "Smart" car.
The murder of Edmond Papa is suspected to be related to the elimination of Aleksandër Sadikaj in June 2022. The police have identified that Velo and Bode were close relations of the victim Sadikaj.
