The Special Court has postponed the trial of the defendants in the "Golden Bullet" case until January 15th.
It is learned that the reason for the postponement was the absence of lawyers for two of the defendants in the trial. This judicial review is currently in the phase of questioning witnesses requested by SPAK.
We recall that, in the previous session on December 18, 2025, the owner of a private school in Tirana, Lulzim Masha, testified at the Special Court. He recounted in detail the moments of horror when he escaped an armed attack in Tirana.
In his testimony, he describes how he faced the danger, without having any conflict or debt with anyone, and thanks to a moment of luck, escaped without injury. It is alleged that the hired killer Skerdi Tasi, who has become a collaborator of justice, was involved in this episode.
"I have been using a Benz ML for many years, I was going to school as usual when I heard 2-3-4 shots. I didn't understand what happened, I saw in the mirror that a tall guy was loading a gun. I turned the car around and said: 'What happened?' He ran away. I called the police because I saw the shells at the scene. I have not had any conflict with anyone or any concerns. God willing, I survived and I am here today to testify. As they say, life is not long, life is short.
"I was alone in the car, the bullets were from the driver's side to the door crossbar. I can't connect this event to anything. I'm a regular person, I don't know who to call, I don't know any of these people. On the sidewalk, when they shot me, there were two surveyors measuring the road. Most of the time I go to work with my wife; that day, as rarely, I was alone," Masha is quoted as having testified.
Masha also said that the assailant was waiting for him at a sharp bend where the speed limit decreases. Among other things, he emphasizes that he does not owe anyone, not even a single euro.
In his testimony, Masha emphasized that he does not know Suel Çela and has never met him. According to him, he has only heard Suel Çela's name on television.
"The attacker was waiting for me at a sharp bend where the speed drops. He was standing on the sidewalk when people walk for jogging, sports. I don't owe anyone even 1 euro. My son, Adrian, has his own businesses and a school in Tetovo. On the day of the incident, he was here in Tirana. He lived between Albania and North Macedonia. He is very orderly, he has no vices. To my knowledge, there has been no conflict or debt, ever. I don't even know Suel Çela, that I have ever met, only what I have heard on TV", he said.
63-year-old Lulëzim Masha was assassinated on January 18, 2022, while he was driving his "Mercedes Benz ML" vehicle, where he was shot with a pistol.
