Besnik Kodra is sentenced to 25 years in prison for the murder of 13-year-old Agim Lera, an event that occurred on September 10, 2010 in Dukagjin, Shkodra. Along with him, his brother and Sokol Mjaçaj were also sentenced, a sentence that the latter have carried out.
In a telephone interview from Peqin prison for the journalist Spartak Koka on the Uniko show on Klan Plus, Besnik Kodra directly accuses Sokol Mjacajn of being the murderer of the 13-year-old and orchestrating the accusations against him and his brother.
Besnik Kodra says that he and his brother were not involved in the crime, while accusing Sokol Mjaçajn of killing the 13-year-old at the time.
Besnik Kodra : I have no revenge, no trick, no connection in that event, I have not even a phone call with Sokol Mjaçajn.
Spartak Koka: Sokol Mjaçaj, after the 2010 event, did another event, killed 2 Czech tourists and recently killed a person in a high security prison. Can you explain to me in detail what happened a few days before the event and on the day of the event. How did you learn that Sokol Mjaçaj killed other people and what contacts did you have as a person who knew Sokol Mjaçaj?
Besnik Kodra: Regarding the murder in prison, I have no other knowledge, as all the prisoners know and as we have heard that Sokol Mjaçaj killed 2 people. I had several contacts with Sokol, even at a distance. I beg you, my son, speak the truth. I had the last contact on December 4, 2023. From the first floor I was in the isolation room, he was on the second floor, and I told him to tell Sokol the truth. He told me, I never sell the truth without being told by Lek Leçaj.
Spartak Koka: Who is Lek Leçaj?
Besnik Kodra: Lek Leçaj is a villager of Sokol Mjaçaj, Sokol's neighbor. The other one also told me: Take 30 thousand Euros to my father, then I will tell the truth.
