The trial for the murder in the prison of Peqin, the jury retires to make a decision; protection asks to share the file

The court hearing for Sokol Mjacaj and the 12 other officials, arrested after the murder of Arben Lleshi inside the high security prison in Peqin, has been held for several hours.

It is reported that the jury was withdrawn to make the decision, while the defense requested that the file be divided according to the functions that the officials had in the prison.

The defense also emphasized that the file cannot be shared, since some officials serve in other sectors, not in the place where the event happened.

Among other things, they added that the director of the prison has been sending letters for a long time about the non-functioning of the monitoring system.

"The Peqin prison had been turned into a hotel. There were many deficiencies in the operation", they stated.
