Two road accidents were recorded within a few minutes on two different segments of national roads in the Elbasan Region, bringing serious consequences to the lives of citizens.
According to media sources, one person has died and two others have been injured as a result of the vehicle collision.
The most serious accident occurred on the national axis Elbasan-Librazhd, specifically on the Xibrakë-Labinot Fushë road segment, where two vehicles collided with each other at a considerable speed. The collision was strong and as a result, two people were seriously injured, who were urgently transported to the hospital. Unfortunately, one of them did not survive the injuries and died in the hospital.
Meanwhile, another accident was recorded at Murrashi Turns, where a vehicle went off the road, but fortunately without serious consequences for the driver. However, the incident has increased concerns about road safety in this area.
The full circumstances and exact causes of these events are not yet clear, while investigative teams are at the scene to carry out the relevant verifications. It is initially suspected that high speed and difficult weather conditions, with heavy rainfall in various areas of the region, have contributed to the deterioration of traffic conditions and consequently to the increase in the risk of accidents.
Traffic on the roads of Elbasan continues to be difficult and maximum caution is required from drivers, especially in segments with curves and limited visibility. Road authorities have called for respect for traffic rules and speed reduction, especially in bad weather conditions.
