A 31-year-old Albanian woman was hit to death by an off-road vehicle in Rimini, Italy, while her 21-year-old friend was injured.
The event happened on Saturday evening, where the young woman, whose identity is not yet known, was in the company of a 21-year-old woman of Indian origin, and both were hit by a car while walking on the side of the road.
The 31-year-old Albanian woman died on the spot, while the Indian woman is in the hospital in serious condition but out of danger.
The Italian police arrested the driver of the vehicle, who during his statement said that he did not see them. According to the Italian media, he is about 60 years old and was accompanying a relative to the hospital. The police are working to fully clarify the incident.
