The legal representative of Arbër Paplekaj, accused of murdering Pjerin Xhuvan, a crime that occurred in Elbasan 4 days before the parliamentary elections of 2021, has shown during the court session the dynamics of the crime.

"When Paplekaj was pushed towards him, it is clear that they used physical violence, from the evidence he was severely verbally abused by his family, mother, wife", said the lawyer, adding that "he was shot by the crowd and his friend was injured ".
According to the legal representative, Paplekaj did not react and tried to avoid it, adding that "no one testifies that he insulted anyone".
"They kept their hands in their purses, the moment he saw his injured friend Pavlo Uksani and that they took out their weapons, he reacted. It is clearly shown that he was confronted by Pjerin Xhuvanit, he sees short weapons being pointed at him, he sees his friend injured and then he reacts", declared the lawyer.
In other cases, he said that the first degree has changed the legal standards by sentencing him to 22 years in prison.
