Bruno Çobo, wanted by SPAK for fraud in collaboration with 16 other people, was deported today from Dubai, the first extradition that takes place between the two countries.
Interior Minister Taulant Balla has published footage of the moment of Çobo's arrival at Rinas airport.
"A well-deserved congratulations to Interpol Tirana State Police in the fight against organized crime, drug trafficking and for the results of the last few months in finding persons wanted by Albanian justice. With the simplified extradition through deportation, carried out today by the United Arab Emirates, a new page of cooperation has been opened, with this country, a friend and partner, in the fight against impunity", writes Balla.
Çobo is accused of the criminal offenses of "Computer Fraud", to the detriment of several persons in cooperation in the form of a structured criminal group.
The criminal group allegedly benefited about 4,700,000 euros from the fraud scheme. The 28-year-old, declared internationally wanted, has been located in Abu Dhabi, after the exchange of information between the Interpol Directorate, the Criminal Police Department and counterparts in the United Arab Emirates.
