Two Albanians accused of robbing businessman Eugenio Gallizioli's villa in Trento, Italy, have pleaded guilty and will cooperate with justice.
According to Italian media, Klodjan Cesku, 31, and Arsild Memaj, 21, were sentenced to 4 years and 3 months in prison, a fine of 1,200 euros and the obligation to compensate the owner with 15 thousand euros.
Meanwhile, the third suspect, Marjan Ndrekaj, 44, who has repeatedly denied involvement in the incident, has been sent to trial. His trial is expected to begin in July 2026, where he will face charges of aggravated robbery in collaboration.
The incident took place during the night between 7 and 8 October 2025, at Gallizioli's villa, on Falzolgher Street, where the robbers entered to take valuables, including a watch and some clothing. They threatened the 72-year-old with a gun and held him hostage for about four hours.
According to the investigation, the victim refused to reveal the code to the safe, which forced the perpetrators to use a cutting tool to open it and take about 300 thousand euros. The movements of the perpetrators were revealed through security cameras and wiretaps, while three of them were arrested after a few weeks in different areas in Italy. A fourth person is still being sought.
The businessman has filed a civil lawsuit and has requested 400 thousand euros in compensation for material and moral damages.
