The identity of the suspected perpetrator of a series of robberies that rocked the Tirana-Fushë Krujë-Milot axis this afternoon has been revealed. It is Emiliano Nikolli, also known as Emiliano Lleshi, a resident of Mamurras, who is now actively wanted.
According to official sources, he is the same person who has used a repeated fraud scheme, ordering taxis and then robbing the drivers at gunpoint.
According to the investigation, Nikolli took a taxi in the Taiwan area of Tirana with an alleged destination of Fushë-Krujë. As he approached the Tapiza area, he pulled out a firearm, threatened the taxi driver and took control of the vehicle. After physically pushing the driver away in a deep area, he took his phone and money, continuing on his way in the hijacked car.
The crime did not stop there. The perpetrator then went to a gas station near Milot, where he threatened the employee with the same weapon and took his daily allowance. He had used the same tactic at the end of December, in another robbery against a taxi driver from Tirana.
After the robberies, the vehicle used was found abandoned near a mosque in Fushë-Krujë, while the perpetrator is still at large and is considered armed and dangerous. Police have released his identity and photo to help locate him.
