The GJKKO accepted the defense's requests for new evidence in the trial of Pëllumb Gjoka and other defendants for the murder of Gjin Ndoji, including a letter of request in France for SKY ECC data. The court also accepted as evidence a decision by the Dutch authorities against the massive wiretapping of this platform. The victim's brother, extradited from Switzerland, and his partner are expected to testify in the next session.
In the trial against businessman Pëllumb Gjoka, Behar Brajovic and Edmond Preka for the murder of Gjin Ndoji, the GJKKO has accepted the lawyers' requests for evidence that will become part of the judicial review.
One of the requests is to send a new letter of request to France to clarify the source of the SKY ECC data.
The lawyers were also granted a request to take as evidence a decision by the Dutch judicial authorities that did not allow the mass surveillance of SKY ECC users in 2019.
Meanwhile, the next session will begin with the questioning of witnesses requested by SPAK, with citizen Jozi Kraja alias Ndoj, the victim's brother extradited earlier this year from Switzerland on behalf of the "Revanshi" file, and the victim's girlfriend.
We recall that businessman Pëllumb Gjoka was caught on wiretaps making plans with Behar Bajri to commit the murder of Gjin Ndoji. Bajri explains that he had contacted foreigners who would commit the murder of Ndoji, a 27-year-old involved in drug trafficking, but in the end it turns out that the murder was committed by Albanian citizens.
The conversations also discuss the amounts that would be paid. Businessman Gjoka seems from the conversations to be willing to pay any amount to kill the 27-year-old. After the murder of Gjin Ndoji on August 9, 2020, the suspects even went to his funeral.
How was Gjin Ndoji alias Gjin Boriçi killed?
Gjin Ndoji alias Gjin Boriçi was executed by gunfire in August 2020, in Shkejza, Vau i Dejës.
Ndoji was found dead in the early hours of the morning, on the street, next to his rented car. About a kilometer from the crime scene, police found a burned-out car, suspected to have been used by the perpetrators.
At the time, the main lead raised by the authorities was that of revenge. The 27-year-old was a person with a criminal record. He lived between Albania, the Netherlands and Italy.
