
Italian police have discovered a cannabis farm in Langhe, in which 510 cannabis plants and 18 kilograms of marijuana were being cultivated ready to be sold. The farm was managed by an Italian-Albanian criminal group, active between Langhe and Roero.
The operation was carried out in the early hours of today by about 60 carabinieri, between the provinces of Cuneo, Turin, Asti and Rimini, Ansa reports .
During the operation, 14 precautionary security measures were executed: 8 detention orders (four already executed), and three house arrests, a stay obligation, a stay ban in the province of Cuneo and an obligation to sign. There are also 9 other people under investigation.
From the control at the house of one of them, who was arrested, 200 grams of cocaine and 500 marijuana were found.
The arrested are 5 Albanians and 3 Italians. Among the latter is the man who acted as an intermediary with the main cocaine supply channel, coming from Calabria.
They face 24 charges, which include extortion and illegal possession of firearms.
