A 52-year-old man has been arrested in Elbasan, accused of forcibly stealing a bag containing a sum of money from a 66-year-old woman on the street.
Police found the stolen bag in the 52-year-old's apartment, which was seized as material evidence.
Police also report that the 66-year-old woman suffered minor injuries to her arm during the robbery.

The services of the Elbasan Police Commissariat, yesterday, immediately after receiving the notification that in the "Visarion Xhuvani" neighborhood, a citizen's handbag had been forcibly stolen, organized the work to identify and hold the perpetrator legally accountable.
As a result of rapid investigative and professional actions, within the framework of the police operation codenamed "Identification", it became possible to identify, capture and arrest in flagrante delicto the suspected perpetrator, citizen: -GF, 52 years old, resident of Elbasan.
From the examination of the video footage and the investigations, it is suspected that this citizen, yesterday, at around 09:00, in the "Visarion Xhuvani" neighborhood, on the street, forcibly stole the handbag of citizen FS, 66 years old, resident of Elbasan, in which she had a sum of money, her mobile phone and some documents. As a result, the 66-year-old suffered minor injuries to her arm.
During the search of the arrested person's apartment, the stolen bag was found, which was seized as material evidence.
"Work continues to document other thefts that are suspected to have been committed by citizen GF. The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan, for further action," the police announced.
