Opened the portal for blackmail and 'fines', former AMP official Kushtrim Selimi surrenders to the police

The former official of the Police Supervision Agency, Kushtrim Selimi, has surrendered to the Tirana Police. He is accused of imposing fines on senior police officials and various businessmen. Selimi appeared this Friday morning, accompanied by his lawyer, where he is expected to be interrogated by Cybercrime regarding the accusations against him.

Earlier, the police attacked the shqipneës.info portal, a portal managed by Kushtrim Selimi, his subordinate Regina Omeri and journalist Ervis Hasanaga. The Head of the Sector at AMP, Kushtrim Selimi, through the portal he had opened with another AMP official Rexhina Omeri and journalist Ervis Hasanaga, had managed to publish articles about senior police leaders Muhamet Rrumbullaku, Neritan Nallbati, Rebani Jaupin, Florjan Sulejmani, etc. with the aim denigrating them in public through fake news.

After the arrest, Omer and Hasanaga testified that Selimi had grudges and quarrels with the people who wrote about them on the portal. Cybercrime investigators suspect that he was making the news to impose fines or gain leadership positions through blackmail.
