SPAK has questioned former SP MP Alqi Bllako regarding the investigations it is conducting into the EcoPark tender in Durrës.
As reported by OraNews, SPAK received Alqi Bllako's testimony 10 days ago, where the former lawmaker was questioned in his capacity as director of AKUM, for more than three hours.
In 2019, the government decided to close the Porto Romano landfill and build the Eco Park. AKUM announced the tender in October 2019, but later canceled it. The government decided to conduct the tender through direct negotiation.
The tender worth 18.5 million euros was awarded to the companies 'De Mare' and 'Victoria Invest'. Alqi Bllako is currently in Durrës prison, accused of corruption and other criminal offenses related to the Tirana, Elbasan and Fier incinerators.
