The names of 18 protesters arrested by Tirana Police following the Democratic Party protest have been made public.

Authorities explain that a total of 46 people have been identified and escorted to the police station. Of these, 18 have been arrested, while 28 others are being investigated at large.

Alvaro Karrata, 19 years old, Dionis Gremi, 32 years old, Abdulla Isha, 42 years old, Vilson Isha, 22 years old, Egli Xhaferi, 18 years old, Krenar Nela, 23 years old, Riza Isenlikaj, 20 years old, Edvin Cato, 46 ​​years old, Robert Patuçi, 26 years old, Marsel Kuçi, 31 years old, Agim Deda, 31 years old, Kujtim Kothi, 45 years old, Fatmir Dodaj, 23 years old, Bledar Bivja, 23 years old, Ardian Deda, 53 years old, as well as three minors, have ended up in handcuffs.

According to the Police, these citizens are suspected of having opposed State Police officers, who were engaged in the protection of state institutions. They are also accused of having thrown fuel (Molotov cocktails) and hard objects at the officers and institutions.

Meanwhile, 28 other people have been processed at large. Among them is the Democratic Party MP, Klevis Balliu, who is accused of the criminal offense of "Organizing and participating in illegal gatherings and demonstrations."

Following the announcement, the Police announced that 25 unexploded Molotov cocktails, 27 mobile phones, and other illegal items were seized from the protest. Investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.

As well as 27 other citizens were criminally prosecuted.

Also, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office where proceedings were initiated against citizen K. B, MP, for the criminal offense of "Organizing and participating in illegal gatherings and demonstrations".

The investigative group continues to work to identify other citizens who may have committed illegal actions during the rally held yesterday.
