A 27-year-old man died this evening in Tirana, after allegedly shooting himself in his apartment.
According to preliminary police information, the victim is the citizen with the initials AM. He was urgently transported to the hospital, but despite the intervention of doctors, he did not manage to survive the injuries he sustained.
Investigative teams are continuing to work to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident and to document it legally. At this stage, authorities have not provided details on the exact location of the incident or the circumstances that led to the use of the firearm.
It is also not known whether the weapon used was possessed with a permit or whether other people were in the apartment at the time of the incident.
