A 25-year-old Albanian was arrested by Italian police in Siculiana (Sicily), and is accused of illegal entry and stay in the territory.
The young man was deported from Italy in November 2023, but returned to the country illegally, avoiding border controls. And he achieved this thanks to a marriage strategy.
It was after marriage that he took his wife's last name.
But his attempt to evade identification was discovered by the army during a territory search. In-depth investigations, including fingerprint verification, confirmed his irregular presence in Italy, the media reported.
The arrest carried out in flagrante delicto was confirmed by the Preliminary Investigation Judge at the request of the Agrigento Public Prosecutor's Office. At the end of the process, it was decided to deport him from the country, after serving the sentence to be imposed.
