
A 39-year-old wanted by Italy was arrested in the city of Vlora.
According to the police, it is about 39-year-old Henerik Boba alias Ermal Hitaj, who was sentenced by the Court of Florence to 7 years and 4 months in prison.
His arrest was carried out as part of the 'Part OF' operation, in the 10 July neighborhood in Vlora. The 39-year-old man has been convicted by the authorities of the neighboring country for the criminal offense "Trafficking in narcotics", committed within the criminal organization.
Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome are collaborating to extradite the 39-year-old to Italy.
"The police operation coded "Part of" is finalized, for the capture of a citizen declared internationally wanted. Convicted in Italy, with over 7 years of imprisonment, for participation in a criminal organization for drug trafficking, he is located, captured and arrested for the purpose of extradition, the 39-year-old.
Specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Section, following the police operations for the capture of the wanted citizens, which take place within the framework of the "Rule of Law" mega-operation, as well as as a result of the continuous exchange of information between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome, organized and finalized the coded police operation "Part of".
During the operation, in the "10 Korriku" neighborhood, the citizen declared internationally wanted: Henerik Boba alias Ermal Hitaj, 39 years old, was located, captured and provisionally arrested, to be extradited to Italy.
The Court of Florence has sentenced this citizen to 7 years and 4 months of imprisonment for the criminal offense "Trafficking in narcotics", committed within the criminal organization, according to the provisions of the Italian Criminal Code.
