
Interpol Tirana has extradited 39-year-old Haki Mehmet from Italy to Albania.
Mehmeti was sentenced by the Court of Vlora to 8 years in prison for drug trafficking, while he has 6 years, 9 months and 27 days of imprisonment left to serve.
According to the police, he was convicted for the criminal offense of production and sale of narcotics and disobedience to the order of public order police officers.
"This citizen was declared internationally wanted after the Vlora Court of Appeal, with the decision dated 02.04.2014, sentenced him to 8 years of imprisonment (of which he has 6 years, 9 months and 27 days of imprisonment left to serve), for the criminal offenses "Production and sale of narcotics" and "Disobedience to the order of public order police officers", committed in cooperation.
