The police have managed to identify one of the attackers of lawyer Kujtim Cakrani, who is also defending former President Ilir Meta in his process with SPAK.
Cakrani was raped on Sunday afternoon in the city of Vlora, and shot with sharp weapons, while he was refueling his vehicle.
In an official announcement, the Police announced that one of the perpetrators has been identified as Skerdilajd Xhindi, 40 years old, who has been declared wanted.
He has been charged with intentional grievous bodily harm, while work is underway to identify the other person. Meanwhile, the reason for the assault on the lawyer remains unclear, while it is suspected that he was hit with a hard object (a metal handle) which caused hematomas and injuries, especially to the back of his head.

Following the preliminary information provided yesterday, regarding the incident that occurred on the Trans-Balkan road, where citizen KC, a lawyer by profession, was injured, we would like to inform you that the intensive work carried out by the specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Vlora Police Commissariat, made it possible to identify one of the suspected perpetrators of this incident, citizen S. Xh., 40 years old, resident of Vlora, who was declared wanted for the criminal offense of "Intentional serious injury", committed in collaboration.
Work continues to locate and capture citizen S. Xh. Meanwhile, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, investigations continue to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident, identify all citizens involved and bring them to criminal responsibility.
Citizen KC continues to be under the care of doctors, out of danger to his life.
