The police have detained one of the persons suspected of being involved in the assassination of Altin Halil in Berat, recorded on August 26.
The police say that a 48-year-old man, identified as Iliaz Toska, has been handcuffed, who supported the perpetrators of the incident, driving them away in a vehicle from the village of Kozare, where their vehicle was found burned.
In the meantime, the special investigation group continues its actions for the complete disclosure of the incident, identification and capture of the perpetrators. The police managed to arrest Iliaz Toska, who, according to the investigation, proved to have helped the perpetrators.

The Special Investigative Group of the Berat Local Police Directorate set up to clarify the event that happened in the afternoon of 26.08.2024, on the road of the village of Dushnik, has intensively followed the in-depth investigative actions in close cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office of the Berat General Jurisdiction.
As a result of the investigative and procedural actions carried out by the specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Crimes against the Person in DVP Berat, they identified, captured and put in handcuffs the citizen IT, 48 years old, resident in Divjaka.
From the in-depth procedural investigations, it turned out that the 48-year-old supported the perpetrators of the incident, driving them away by vehicle from the village of Kozare, where their vehicle was found burned.
The special investigation group is following the actions for the complete disclosure of the event, identification and capture of the perpetrators.
The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Berat, for further action ," the police announced.
