From the controls carried out by the police station of Formia, it is confirmed that the young Albanian driving the vehicle has tested positive for drugs and alcohol.
A tragic accident happened in Fondi, Italy, after a young mother lost her life, while her young son is in serious condition. Shkatar was a 22-year-old Albanian, who was driving the vehicle in a drunken state and under the influence of alcohol.
According to the Italian media, the 24-year-old girl died on the spot, while the several-month-old baby is in the hospital.
The accident happened last night around midnight. The Volkswagen Golf driven by the victim's partner and father of the child left the road through Sant'Anastasia and overturned. The Albanian driver's sister was also on board, who was also hospitalized in serious condition.
The car rolled several times, fatally injuring the young mother – who died instantly – and causing some trauma to the newborn who was immediately airlifted to Rome. The other two people are not in danger for their lives: the 22-year-old Albanian and his sister, both admitted to the Dono Svizzero hospital in Formia.
