Assassination in Athens, target was Edi Lulo; the charges against the 2

According to "Eleftheros Typos", one of the weapons seized from the house of one of the suspects had been in his possession for less than 7 days, while it was stored in a bag, where officers of the "Greek FBI" assessed that it was ready to be used in a new death contract that they had undertaken to execute...

Etmond Hysa, the 46-year-old from Puka, also known as Edi Lulo, who was injured in the December 15th attack in Athens, is in a more stable health condition.

"He has contact with the environment, he responds to stimuli but he still cannot speak. After all, let's not forget that that morning in Thrakomakedones, the bullet that hit him made a... small "blow" to his head, from the back to the front," describes a police officer who dealt with the case for "Zougla".

According to sources from the investigative group, Edi Lulo alias Etmond Hysa was the target of the assassins.

Irakli Davella, 47, from the village of Mesopotam in Finiq, was killed in the attack, as was another Albanian, also originally from a village in the Finiq Municipality.

Greek police have arrested two suspected hitmen for the incident, 44-year-old Jenis Tulja from Tirana and 45-year-old Mirjan Guveli from Saranda.

During the arrest, police found heavy weaponry and surveillance equipment in their apartments, in addition to a large sum of euros.

According to "Eleftheros Typos", one of the weapons seized from the home of one of the suspects had been in his possession for less than seven days, while it was stored in a bag, where officers of the "Greek FBI" assessed that it was ready to be used in a new death contract that they had undertaken to execute.

The suspects were identified after the discovery of the Renault vehicle used in the incident. The "controversial" car was first visually recorded in the video material available to the Greek police, four days before the murderous attack, in the Nea Smyrni area. From exactly the same point, the two perpetrators started their journey to Thrakomakedones on December 15.

The police, after spotting him parked two days after the crime, put him under surveillance for a total of 10 days, finally following the perpetrators' trail. The 45-year-old's house on Nikolaou Plastira Street was, as it turned out, the "base" of the death contract.

It is worth noting that the 4 vehicles used to move around after the crime were registered in the names of third parties, so as not to be associated with the two suspects, who maintained a "low" profile.

The 45-year-old is unemployed and lived in a rent-free house, while the residence of the 44-year-old, who managed a café, had his wife as an official tenant.

The prosecution has filed criminal charges for murder and attempted murder, illegal possession of weapons, forgery in collaboration, criminal group and drug distribution.

The two arrested will be questioned on Thursday afternoon, while they are in custody.

According to the investigative file, the victims were walking to their cars, leaving a cafe, when they were shot. The prosecution authorities believe that the attack is a continuation of another bloody incident and is related to a dispute between rival criminal gangs.
