A month has already passed after the tragedy in Italy, where Taulant Malaj killed the Italian Massimo De Santis, his 16-year-old daughter Jessica and injured his wife, Tefta Malaj. The Albanian killed the Italian, then went to hit the woman as well, but his daughter who tried to protect her mother suffered.
In the area where the event happened, citizens say that it was a great tragedy, and that no one expected it. "It was a great tragedy. No one expected it. Everything seemed normal", they say. The brother of Massimo De Santis, the 51-year-old owner who was killed by Taulant Malaj, spoke to the Italian media.
"My brother did not deserve to die like this. I would rather have died in a road accident or in other circumstances, but he didn't deserve a death like this," says his brother Gianluca. He adds that his 80-year-old mother never left the apartment alone after the day of the tragedy.
"My mother has never left the house alone since the day of the tragedy. I have to take her to the third floor and she comes out of the elevator staring straight ahead, as if to remove the image of the white sheet covering Massimo's bloodied body, lying on the ground," says Gianluca.
How did the serious event happen?
Taulant Malaj confessed that recently there had been arguments in the family after he accused his wife of cheating on him with the Italian. He said that he had asked for a separation but his wife convinced him to stay at home. He said that he caught the woman on the third floor of the building where the Italian lived.
He said that while they were lying down to sleep, the woman started talking to someone. After checking her phone, he discovered that she was talking to the neighbor. After that, he left the apartment and waited for Massimo to return home, where he stabbed him 20 times in the chest, abdomen and head.
According to what the author said, he first killed the Italian and then went up to the house where he started stabbing his wife and then his daughter, who was trying to protect her mother. "At that moment, blinded by rage, he did not realize that he was in front of his daughter and began to hit her," said the lawyers.
