An unusual story was revealed yesterday. Leonard Mnela, arrested in the USA with the intention of deportation to Albania and who was a person charged for several criminal offenses in Albania but also in Italy, had received a decision from the Albanian courts which they made dead.
Today, the decision of June 16, 2011, taken in the Court of Durrës by Ndue Gjura, then a judge of this court, has been published.
The case was registered on December 15, 2010 in this court and started through the mother, Gjelina Kaçaj, represented by av. The object of the examination was the declaration of the fact of the death of the citizen Leonard Mnela, of dtl. 14.03.1969, born in Shkodër, son of Kola and Gjelina, who passed away on 03.01.2003 at 11.05, in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Miranda state, Sukre Municipality, Petare Parish Church, as well as registration in death certificate at the civil status office of Region no. 2, Durrës Municipality.
On June 16, 2011, the judge declared the legal fact of the death of Leonard Mnela in his apartment in Venezuela due to ischemic cardiopathy.
