
A 29-year-old Albanian was sentenced to 24 months in prison in England, because he was cultivating cannabis in an apartment .
On the afternoon of July 21 of this year, the police went to the location of the Albanian Eduart Cili. The 29-year-old allowed the officers into the apartment, telling them "I did it, my wife doesn't know anything about it", a statement that led to his arrest on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.
He was found with 269 cannabis plants worth up to £90,000 inside a loft along with the equipment needed to produce the grow.
Qili was charged with the manufacture of a controlled class B drug - cannabis - and appeared at Northampton Magistrates' Court on July 23, where he pleaded guilty and was remanded in custody.
At Northampton Crown Court on Monday, September 9, Cili was sentenced to 24 months in prison and ordered to pay a surcharge of £187 on his release. A confiscation and disposal order was also obtained for the disposal of the drugs and paraphernalia.
