29 boats were seized from Ksamil to Velipoja as they were sailing outside the permitted line, thus endangering the safety of vacationers.
As a result of controls within the "Maritime Security" operation, during this week from Ksamil to Velipoja, the Border Police blocked 29 vessels.
Blocked vehicles: 17 jet skis, 10 speedboats and 2 dinghies. 21 vessels were blocked from Ksamil to Vlora. 6 vessels are blocked from Durrës to Shengjin. 2 vessels are blocked in Velipoja.
11 of the blocked vessels were found by the services of the Border Police and those of the Maritime Police Unit, sailing within the security perimeter, a violation which endangered the lives of vacationers. The drivers of these vehicles were each punished with an administrative measure of 100,000 to 120,000 new lek.
The drivers of 18 other vessels, in addition to the measure of blocking the means, were each punished with an administrative measure of 10,000 ALL for lack of documentation.
