Criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço has commented on the murder of Albanian Jani Aliaj in Korydallos prison in Greece.
Karamuço stressed that his elimination was carried out by hired killers, who were sentenced to life imprisonment, and that there had been several attempts before.
Further, the expert said that the Korydallos prison has caused concern for residents and that, if Jani Aliaj were in Albania, he would be eliminated.
"There has been another assassination attempt by other Arab groups. Jani Aliaj's killer is on the payroll and he has a life sentence; he is in prison, but their families are taking them. I think and suspect that, after a year, the victim, if he had survived, could have suffered another assassination attempt within the Albanian system, due to the large amounts of money that are thought to have been used in the high-security prison.
In Korydallos there are illegal items, sharp tools are easily possessed; it's just a matter of status if you can secure them, so it's not difficult at all.
"There have been requests from residents that that prison should be closed, because there have been attempts to commit crimes even with drones," Karamuço told "Ora e Fundit."
