Footage of the explosion carried out with explosives on Sunday morning at the door of a bar in the "Çlirim" neighborhood of Berat has been published.
From the security camera video, provided by News24, it is clear that at 03:58 a BMW vehicle with a luggage rack stops in front of the door of the bar for a few seconds.
No one gets out of the vehicle, but something is thrown from the front passenger window at the door of the bar and the car leaves the scene. Only about a minute later, the thrown object explodes in front of the bar door, causing only material damage.
It is suspected that there were two or more people in the vehicle and that no one got out of the vehicle because they were aware of the surrounding cameras and did not want to be identified.
The explosive device thrown at the door of the bar belonging to citizen Sali Fetiu had a lit fuse. Police sources confirm that several leads are being investigated and that several people have been arrested so far, but no one has yet been identified as being involved in this incident.
The bar owned by citizen Sali Fetiu has been closed for 2 years and the sign "For Rent" can be seen on its windows.
The investigative team is continuing its actions, with the aim of clarifying the circumstances of the case and identifying and apprehending the perpetrator(s).
It is suspected that the explosive device was a warning to the son of the owner of the bar, 37-year-old Asllan Fetiu. The latter, on March 24, 2025, stabbed an 85-year-old customer who was inside the bar in front of him. 37-year-old Asllan Fetiu, in a drunken state, searched for a citizen in the bar and after not finding him, stabbed the 85-year-old customer, Todi Biçaku.
Police sources indicate that the injury from two months ago is not the only track being investigated, but that the track of laundering the proceeds of broken deals of illegal businesses abroad is also being investigated.
