1.2 million euros of real estate have been seized from a 42-year-old man in Tirana,
SPAK has seized assets worth 1.2 million euros, which are suspected of coming from criminal activity.
According to the police, the seized assets are owned by 42-year-old Erjon Kasmi.
The seized assets are an apartment, 2 parking spaces for vehicles and a commercial entity, assets which are suspected to have come from the 42-year-old's criminal activity in the field of computer fraud on the stock exchanges.
"Following the tracking and investigative work, for the ascertainment and seizure of assets deriving from criminal activities, the operation coded "Fraud" was finalized, within the framework of which the decision of the Criminal Court for the seizure of 4 assets of citizen EK, 42 years old, (Erjon Kasmi), resident of Tirana, was executed," the official announcement states.
The seizure of the properties was made by decision of the Criminal Court of Kosovo, which sentenced Erjon Kasmi to 11 years in prison, after finding him guilty as the organizer of the fraudulent call center scheme.
"The police operation codenamed "Fraud" is being finalized, for the tracking and seizure of assets derived from crime. The operation, by the Money Laundering and Criminal Assets Investigation Section of the Tirana Police Department, under the direction of SPAK.
4 real estate properties, worth approximately 1,200,000 euros, belonging to a citizen with a record of computer fraud in the stock market are seized.
Following the tracking and investigative work, for the ascertainment and seizure of assets deriving from criminal activities, the operation coded "Fraud" was finalized, within the framework of which the decision of the Criminal Court of Kosovo was executed, for the seizure of 4 assets of citizen EK, 42 years old, resident of Tirana.
Specifically, a seizure was imposed on 1 apartment, 2 parking spaces for vehicles and 1 commercial entity, assets which are suspected to derive from the criminal activity of the 42-year-old, in the field of computer fraud, on the stock exchanges. The procedural materials were referred to SPAK, for further actions," the police announced.
