From the investigations of the Kurbin Prosecutor's Office, it results that the conflict between the Tafa and Mamli families began some time ago in Sweden, where the defendants Tafa's cousin, Edmond Tafa, physically clashed with the Mamli brothers for weak motives.
Today's murder in the village of Zhej in Mamurras seems to be motivated by blood feud. This is because the son of the victim, Dod Mamli, Enrik Mamli killed Naim Tafa on September 23, 2015, where a fierce and armed conflict took place between cousins Gazmir and Taulant Tafa, in the center of Mamurras, near the train station.
The armed conflict left Naim Tafa, who was involved in the fight, dead and four other people injured. Enrik Mamli was sentenced to 29 years in prison and is currently serving his sentence.
How did the incident in Mamurras happen in 2015?
As soon as he returned to Mamurras, former convict Naim Tafa entered into negotiations with Dorian Mamli, cousin of the perpetrator, but also a friend of the victim, in order to enable him to meet with Enrik Mamli.
Tafa demanded 250 thousand euros from Mamli, which he owed him from the time they worked together in Italy, shortly before the victim was arrested.
According to the same sources, this amount was obtained by the victim and the perpetrator, who were allegedly part of a prostitution ring there.
Now that he had finished his prison sentence in Italy and had returned to Albania, Tafa was demanding the money he claimed belonged to him, since he had also been in prison for this reason.
Wanting the conflict to be resolved without bloodshed, Naim Tafa attempted to mediate through his friend, Dorian Mamli, asking him to convince his cousin, Enriku, to meet with him.
But it seems that this was not accepted by the perpetrator, who even physically clashed with his 31-year-old cousin.
What did the police say?
On 23.09.2015 at around 11:30 in the town of Mamurras, Kurbin district, a conflict occurred between citizens Erik Mamli and Dorian Mamli, who are cousins, where the cause of the conflict between the two cousins was Dorian's association with citizen Naim Tafa. Enriku had asked his cousin not to associate with citizen Naim Tafa and his relatives since he had a previous conflict with these people abroad. But citizen Dorian Mamli did not obey his cousin, telling him that he had friends and would associate with them. This verbal conflict between the two cousins escalated into a physical confrontation.

Në këto momente, makinat në fjalë kanë ndaluar dhe personat që gjendeshin në to, nga brenda makinave kanë qëlluar me armë zjarri ndaj njëri tjetrit, ku për pasojë ka gjetur vdekjen shtetasi Naim Tafa dhe janë plagosur shtetasit Arjan Tafa, Idriz Tafa, Besim Gjetani dhe Altin Coku. Ku këta të fundit kanë qënë jashtë automjeteve. Të plagosurit janë dërguar për ndihmë mjekësore në spitalin e Traumës Tiranë. Në vendin e ngjarjes janë sekuestruar në cilësinë e provave materiale 12 gëzhoja fishekësh të armëve të zjarrit, 11 prej të cilave brenda në makinën e shtetasit Erik Mamli, e cila është gjetur e braktisur rreth 300 m larg vendit të ngjarjes. Në vijim të veprimeve të kryera lidhur me këtë ngjarje, është bërë e mundur kapja e njërit prej autorëve të ngjarjes Enrik Mamli si dhe arma e zjarrit e tip automatik mod 56 kal 7.62mm e përdorur prej tij, arme e cila është sekuestruar në cilësinë e provës materiale.
Gjithashtu janë marrë e sekuestruar automjetet e përfshira në vendin e ngjarjes, si dhe një sere veprimesh të tjera hetimore. Në lidhje me këtë ngjarje është bërë arrestimi në flagrancë i shtetasit: Enrik Dod Mamli, 28 vjeç, lindur dhe banues në Zheje, Njesia Administrative Mamurras, rrethi Kurbin per veprat penale “Vrasje e kryer në rrethana të tjera cilësuese” dhe “Prodhimi dhe mbajtja pa leje e armëve luftarake dhe municioneve” parashikuar nga nenet 79/dh , e 278/5 i K.Penal. Në bashkëpunim me Prokurorinë e Rrethit Gjyqësor Kurbin po punohet për sqarimin dhe dokumentimin e plotë të rrethanave të ngjarjes. (Viktima Naim Tafa ka qënë i dënuar në Itali për vjedhje, dhe ka dalë nag burgu me datë 08.09.2015 ku është kthyer në Rinas si i depërtuar, me masë 10 vjet, të mos qarkullojë në hapësirën Shengen.)

Dosja për autorët e vrasjes së Naim Tafës si pasojë e hakmarrjes, është dërguar dje për gjykim nga Prokuroria e Kurbinit. Në njoftimin zyrtar thuhej se pas një hetimi disamujor, Prokuroria e Kurbinit ka ngritur akuzat për kushërinjtë Gazmir dhe Taulant Tafa, të cilët akuzohen për “Vrasje në rrethana cilësuese”, mbetur në tentativë dhe “prodhim dhe mbajtje pa leje e armëve luftarake.

After this episode, the Mamli brothers left in their Range Rover. Meanwhile, Dorjan Mamli met with the Tafa cousins, to whom he told about the incident. The latter (the Tafajs) went out in their vehicle, a “Benz”, in search of the Mamli brothers. The two parties confronted each other near the train station and initially collided their vehicles directly. After the collision, both parties, armed, got out of the vehicles and shot at each other.
The armed conflict occurred at a time when the surrounding area was populated with many people. As a result of the gunfire, citizen Naim Tafa, who was in the company of his Tafa cousins, died on the spot. The expert report shows that he was killed by the weapon used by Tom Mamli. Citizens Idriz Tafa and Altin Çoku, who happened to be at the scene, were also injured in the gunfire.
