Today, an autopsy was performed on the body of Eleonora Toçi, the 24-year-old Albanian woman who was strangled by her husband, Lulzim Toçi, in their home in San Felice a Cancello, in the province of Caserta on the night of October 9.

The results will most likely confirm those of the first examination, immediately after the discovery of the body: a large hematoma on the neck suggests that the woman was killed by strangulation, with a very large force. But it is also suspected that there was a fight between the man and the woman, which probably happened during the drowning.
Fanpage.it learns that in the house where the husband lived for about a year and where the girl had moved a few weeks ago, bringing her children with her, the investigators seized several tablets, among them one for depression and the other for schizophrenia, which were part of the therapy to which the 30-year-old had undergone and which was attended from time to time.
The fate of two minor children
The couple's two children are currently entrusted to a relative, pending assessments by the Santa Maria Capua Vetere Public Prosecutor's Office and the Juvenile Court. An evidence session, still unscheduled, may take place in the coming days to hear them under protected conditions before the investigating judge and with the support of specialists to crystallize fundamental elements of the evidence.
That night, in fact, according to the reconstructions of the carabinieri and the confession made by the suspect, Lulzim Toçi, after killing the woman, had reached his brother's house a few hundred meters away and asked to be taken to the hospital. Her sister-in-law, suspicious of Eleonora's absence, had called her; The 6-year-old answered the video call and showed his aunt his mother's body in bed. Then the woman notified the police, who stopped the thirty-year-old in front of his house, where he had returned with his brother after being in an emergency.
Four versions of the motif
During the interrogation, Lulzim Toçi, assisted by the lawyer Orlando Sgambati, admitted that he had killed his wife, but was unable to give any explanation for the act. On October 11, during the hearing to confirm the arrest for aggravated manslaughter, the 30-year-old still appeared extremely confused and gave four versions in a row.
He would have repeated that he had done it without reason, but he would also have talked about an economic issue and about an argument that arose because his wife had prevented him from leaving the house in the middle of the night; He then talked confusedly about a snake, likely hallucinating.
The arrest was confirmed and a warrant of imprisonment was issued. In the following days, the defense will submit a request to the examiner, to request the mitigation of the measure by assigning house arrest and to request a consultation with a psychiatrist.
