The fire that broke out a few minutes ago in a building in Tirana has reached large proportions due to the polyester material that the building is covered with.
The fire started on the upper floor but is spreading rapidly. Meanwhile, the fire brigade is trying to put out the flames.
The causes of the fire are still unknown. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but only material damage.
The event happened around 14:00 in the area of the former bus park in Tirana, on 'Sali Butka' street. The police informs that the residents have been evacuated.
"On 14.09.2023, around 2:20 p.m., on "Sali Butka" street, a fire broke out on the balcony of an apartment, on the top floor of a building. On the scene are the police services and the fire brigade, which are working to putting out the fire. The investigative group is working to clarify the circumstances of the incident ," the police announced.
