Yesterday's explosion in Shkodra, where 67-year-old Hysni Ymeri lost his life, continues to remain a mystery.
The 67-year-old was killed the day before as a result of an explosion in the building he lived in. The explosion occurred as soon as the victim arrived at the entrance of the building to go up to the fourth floor where he lived.
Meanwhile, the victim's photo has also been published.
Although a day has passed since the incident, it is still unclear whether the explosion was caused by remote-controlled explosives or by the electricity meter panel. For this reason, until the expert report is available, investigators are focusing on two leads.
But who was the victim, Hysni Ymeri?
If the investigation reveals that we are dealing with an assassination, investigators suspect that the incident could be linked to the bloodsucker.
In 1995, in Kiras, Hysni Ymeri's brother killed Shefqet Çekorja. The perpetrator was arrested at the time and sentenced. A few years later, according to sources, the two families reached a reconciliation. Shefqet Çekorja was the brother of Ismet Çekorja, who was killed in September 2022 near his home, killed as part of the conflicts between the Bajri-Lici tribes.
In the past, a son of Hysni Ymeri's uncle killed his wife and then took his own life. Similarly, another cousin of the family, Dritan Ymeri, killed doctor Ilir Aliaj in 2017, after a property dispute. The perpetrator is suspected to have been abroad since then.
