4 Albanians have been arrested by the Greek police and 3 others have been declared wanted after an action to destroy criminal groups that were involved in the cultivation and sale of drugs.
A well-organized operation of the Greek special forces EKAM in cooperation with the Coast Guard and under the coordination of the Anti-Drug Unit, has led to the arrest of 4 people and the announcement of the search for 3 others, accused of setting up a large marijuana plantation in Argolid.
7 of the suspects are Albanians from South Albania, one of whom is wanted in Greece and the other with a criminal record for drugs in Albania.
In the early hours of yesterday morning, EKAM special forces and a Coast Guard vehicle intervened in a coastal, forested area in Galanaika, Epidavrou in Argolida. Inside a plantation with marijuana seedlings, Albanian citizen Skënder Toska, 42 years old from Përmeti, was caught. 387 narcotic plants with a height of 20 cm to 2 meters were found in the plot. During the operation, he violently opposed the special forces operatives who managed to neutralize him. During the personal check, 130 grams of marijuana were also found on him, which turned out to be delivered to citizens Andon Çela and Gramos Dervishi, both from Roskoveci, as a monster to attract buyers.
The investigation revealed that drug cultivation was carried out by the 42-year-old arrested, as well as by citizens Pëllumb Toska, 31, and Ermal Hoxha, 43. The police have managed to arrest the 31-year-old inside the plantation, while Hoxha has not been found and is wanted. These citizens carried out cultivation for the account of other members of the criminal group.
The operation continued in an apartment on the first floor on "Kalama" street no. 25 in Athens, where Andon Cela, 49 years old from Roskoveci, was handcuffed. He was found with a quantity of 3.5 grams of marijuana, which was used as a sample to show to potential buyers. Meanwhile, Greek Stefanos Dolomas, 49, was arrested in an apartment in Piraeus. 91.7 grams of marijuana were found in the latter's apartment, which he was going to hand over to Andon Cela and the 45-year-old citizen Gramos Dervishi from Strum i Roskovec, in order to show the amount as a monster to potential buyers. The 45-year-old Dervishi was not found by the police and was declared wanted. A quantity of 0.6 grams of cocaine was also found in the possession of the Greek citizen.
The police have identified another member of the criminal group, citizen Lame Hyska, 44, from Kurjan i Roskovec, who has been declared wanted.
According to the Greek police, from the action methodology of the above-mentioned members of the criminal organization, their hierarchical structure and their roles, the creation of suitable infrastructure for the various stages of the production of narcotics, the capacity of the plantation of marijuana seedlings and the quantities of expected in production, the selection of a difficult area and therefore not easily accessible by the authorities for the establishment of the plantation, results in a professional infrastructure on the part of its members, ensuring their uninterrupted criminal activity in order to harvest a quantity of large amount of narcotics and their trafficking, in order to benefit from a large amount of illegal income, calculated at least 560,000 euros.
In total, 387 narcotic marijuana plants, 225.2 grams of marijuana, 0.6 grams of cocaine, 5 vehicles, 2,270 euros, 8 mobile phones, 2 scales, 4 incandescent lamps, which are used for growing marijuana with the hydroponic method and equipment for cultivating marijuana, were seized.
ROLES OF THE SUSPECTS:
1. Andon Cela, 49 years old from Roskoveci (arrested), with a leadership role, responsible for the criminal group, responsible for finding and providing financial resources for the needs of the group, responsible for finding suitable places for planting marijuana seedlings, such as and responsible for supplying group members within the plantation area with all necessary supplies.
2. Gramos Dervishi, 45, from Strum i Roskovec (wanted), responsible for supplying all members of the group within the plantation area with all the necessary supplies, together with Andon Cela, as well as for the distribution of vintage quantities of drugs.
3. Lame Hyska, 44, from Kurjani i Roskovec (in search), acted as a provider of means of transport to facilitate the group's goals.
4. Stefanos Dolomas, 49 years old, Greek (arrested), acted as the person responsible for storing samples of the harvested quantities of marijuana.
5. Skender Toska, 42, from Përmeti (arrested),

7. Ermal Hoxha, 43 years old (in search), acted as responsible for the cultivation of marijuana and the maintenance of the plantation.
From the verification of the Greek police, it appears that Andon Çela was a wanted person by order no. 6 dated 03.04.2024 of the Lamia Crimes Investigator, for membership in a criminal organization and a particularly distinguished case of drug trafficking in the forms of cultivation of plants of the cannabis genus, the sale and possession of narcotics, carried out jointly and consecutive by perpetrators operating within a criminal organization.
Likewise, Skënder Toska was arrested in 2020 in Permet as part of the "Mezhgorani" operation for the criminal offense of "production and sale of narcotics".
