A 30-year-old man has been arrested by the Berat Police after he illegally built a three-story building in the "Barrikadë" neighborhood that would function as a hotel.
According to the police, the action came within the framework of controlling the territory and freeing up public spaces in the country. The services had obtained information in an operational way that a person had built without a permit, immediately exercising control on the ground.
"Following the work to prevent, identify and crack down on cases of illegal construction, the services of the Berat Police Commissariat, based on information obtained operationally that a citizen had built, without permission, in the "Barrikadë" neighborhood, have carried out checks in this area. During the checks, it was found that citizen AG had built, without permission, a three-story building, intended as a hotel.
Following the actions in this case, the specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Berat Police Commissariat arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen AG, 30 years old, resident of Berat. The procedural materials were referred to the Berat Prosecutor's Office, for further actions, for the criminal offense "Illegal construction", the police statement states.
