A young man has lost his life while working at the Vlora airport construction site. It is learned that the 38-year-old worker, with the initials DH, fell from a height and lost his life. The young man was an employee of a construction company that is working on the airport project.
Following investigations conducted by specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Vlora Police Commissariat, citizen DN, 45 years old, resident of Tirana, who holds the position of administrator of the construction company, was arrested in flagrante delicto.
Criminal proceedings have also been initiated against a 41-year-old US citizen, also from Tirana, who was responsible for the works. According to the Police, these two individuals are suspected of violating legal obligations regarding safety measures at work, resulting in the death of the employee.
Meanwhile, the investigative materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further legal action.
