The Freedom Party convenes the highest forum, the National Convention, which according to the president, Ilir Meta, will have radical changes, one of which is the statute from which the factions are expected to be recognized.
In the race for the head of the Freedom Party will be the current one, Ilir Meta, in front of Faik Basha, head of the branch in Kamëz and Myrvete Asqeri, and in the framework of the reorganization there will not be a head, but a party president, a vice president. , and a Secretary General.
Accordingly, for the vice president statute, the name is Erisa Xixhos, who will also hold the post of political secretary for the Tirana region and general secretary Tedi Blushi, once also the political secretary of the Korçë region.
Also, at the convention, the 18 names of the new presidency will be voted on, the list headed by: Edmond Haxhinasto, chairman of the National Steering Committee, followed by Ilir Meta, chairman, followed by the vice-chairmen and the two vice-chairmen.
The convention is the second in a two-year period, since on July 25, 2022, after fulfilling the constitutional mandate as head of state, former president Ilir Meta returned to LSI, where after being voted as head, he changed his name to "Partia e Lirisia ".
