The administrators of 8 entities in Elbasan have been criminally prosecuted for hiding the income they earned from currency exchange.
The police seized from these subjects approximately 54,000,000 lek in various currencies and 1 sporting weapon, a pistol with maneuverable cartridges.
The action was carried out today by specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, codenamed “The Script”. Specifically, the following citizens were prosecuted: KB, 65 years old, ST, 56 years old, II, 64 years old, RT, 59 years old, AT, 66 years old, EZ, 22 years old, NB, 37 years old and ZB, 40 years old, all residents of Elbasan.
During the checks at 8 exchanges, the police seized around 54 million lek in various currencies (lek, euros, US dollars, Swiss francs, British pounds, Turkish lira, etc.), and 1 sporting weapon, a pistol with blank cartridges, which was found during the check on the person of the 66-year-old subject with the initials AT.
"At the conclusion of the actions in these cases, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office where criminal proceedings were initiated against the administrators of 8 entities, citizens: KB, 65 years old, ST, 56 years old, II, 64 years old, RT, 59 years old, AT, 66 years old, EZ, 22 years old, NB, 37 years old and ZB, 40 years old, all residents of Elbasan.
As material evidence, approximately 54,000,000 lek in various currencies (lek, euros, US dollars, Swiss francs, British pounds, Turkish lira, etc.) and 1 sporting weapon, a pistol with maneuverable cartridges, were seized, which was found during the search in the possession of citizen A. T., the police announced.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan, for further action.
