The appeal has upheld the measure of "prison arrest" for former police officer Dedan Gjoni, Rexhep Rapi, and Algert Rapi.
According to the Prosecutor's Office, during the time that the former police officer Dedan Gjoni was on duty at the Shijak Police Station, he is suspected of having collaborated with Rexhep Arap to set up an ambush with the intention of killing Xhevdet Plaku.
We remind you that Dedan Gjoni is accused of 'Trafficking in narcotics', 'Structured criminal group', 'Commitment of criminal offenses by criminal organization and structured criminal group', 'Providing the conditions and material means to commit murder' and ' Power abuse'.
The investigation was started by the Dutch who intercepted Davey German who was being investigated in the Netherlands for hashish houses.

The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a monocratic panel composed of judge Florjan Kalaja, today, 25.01.2024, announced the decision on criminal case no. 06 act, date 19.01.2024 registration, registered on the appeal of the persons under investigation RR, AR, and D.Gj., with object: "Appeal against decision no. 139, dated 22.12.2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime" which has disposed of personal security measures, and decided:
-Approval of decision no. 139, dated 22.12.2023 of the First Instance Special Court for Corruption and Organized Crime.
- Against this decision, an appeal can be made to the Supreme Court within 45 days, starting from the day after the notification of the reasoned decision.
