New details are revealed regarding the tragic accident that happened shortly after midnight on the Këlcyre-Përmet road axis, where 7 clandestine people from third countries and the driver from the city of Shkodra lost their lives.
The dynamics of the movement of clandestines who set out for a better future, but life was cut in the middle, is clarified.
It is known that the clandestines have entered from the green border "Tre Urat" in Përmet. They stayed for almost 30 minutes waiting for the arrival of the car that would then take them in the direction of Hani i Hoti, then to Montenegro, Croatia and the final destination EU countries. It is learned that each of them paid 300 euros for this trip.
After the vehicle arrived, the 7 clandestines got into the car and started the journey. At the entrance to Këlcyra they encountered a police patrol. At this moment, the driver made a turn and after walking 4 km due to the high speed, the driver lost control, falling into the Vjosë river.
The car "flew" 100 meters in height and fell 300 meters into the Vjos River.
It is learned that the driver from Shkodra is Edison Bregaj, while the identities of the 7 clandestines have not yet been revealed.
