Safet Bajri has been transferred to the security block, near prison 302, after being questioned at the Tirana Police Directorate.
An arrest warrant was issued for Safet Bajri by the GJKKO at the request of SPAK. The arrest warrants were issued for Safet Bajri, his cousin Behar Bajri and his right-hand man Astmer Bilali. The latter two are already arrested in the 'Metamorphosis' case.
Safet Bajri was initially escorted to the Shkodra Police Directorate and then transferred to Tirana, where he stayed for about two hours in the police premises, before being transferred to the security block.
In Shkodra, Safet Bajri was informed that he would be questioned in Tirana, where he was transferred under heavy security measures by RENEA and Operacional teams. According to reports, Bajri was told that a blood sample would be taken for DNA analysis, thus avoiding the communication of any security measures by the police authorities in Shkodra.
According to reports, arrest warrants have been signed in connection with the murder of Fatbardh Lici, a member of the rival Bajret family in Shkodra.
The execution of Fatbardh Lici, who is the brother of "Tata", Mustafa Lici and the uncle of Ibrahim Lici, took place in 2018. Initially, the lawyer did not confirm that he had been notified of any arrest warrant, while he claimed that this is the second time that the DNA of this citizen is being requested. It is learned that Bajri was taken from his home in Dobraç without any resistance and was taken to Tirana accompanied by security measures.
His escort comes 3 days after SPAK conducted a search of his apartment and signed the arrest warrant for Samuel Troshani and Izmir Sakica, accused of being members of Bajri's group as part of the investigation into the gunfight that occurred in Rranxë, Bushati, on August 23, 2024, where the armored car "Audi A8" in which the two young men were traveling was hit with a gun. According to SPAK, they had gone to kill Aleksandër Prendi but were met with gunfire from the latter.
Meanwhile, SPAK has also merged into one file the Dobrac massacre where 4 people lost their lives.
