What happened yesterday in Astir?

A 21-year-old woman alerted the police, stating that she had been raped by several people and locked herself in her apartment on the 8th floor, refusing to open the door. It took the intervention of RENEA forces who entered from the terrace to remove the girl from the apartment, who was then taken to the hospital.

The girl was in the company of several other people, who since Wednesday evening had been in two apartments on the 8th floor of the building where they had rented AIRBNB next to each other.

The apartments were rented by a man with whom 21-year-old Sajma Qordja was in a relationship. The young people spent Wednesday night until Thursday afternoon at both apartments, where they are suspected of consuming narcotics.

On Thursday afternoon, the young men went downstairs to have coffee, while Sajma Qordjan was left sleeping in her room. When she woke up, she saw the two firearms, pistols and the bulletproof vest, and then she began to show paranoia, screaming in fear, screams that were also heard by the residents of the building.

She then called her family, her mother, telling them that she felt threatened and scared and that she had been raped by several people all night and was being held hostage. Her family members then called the police, telling them that their daughter had been kidnapped by people who also had guns and had raped her.

Initially, after the 21-year-old's family called, two law enforcement officers went to the apartment on the eighth floor, but the girl, who was screaming in fear and showing paranoia, did not open the door. Later, her family members also went there to convince her. It was the father who communicated with his daughter via video call behind the door where he was with the police, but the girl still did not open the door.

The law enforcement officers then notified the FNSH and RENEA forces, who entered the apartment through the window by descending from the terrace of the building. Meanwhile, the other people, at the first moment they noticed that two law enforcement officers had climbed onto the 8th floor near the apartments they had rented, left.

The police have seized the building's security cameras and have identified all the people as well as their movements from the first day of accommodation in the two apartments until their departure after the police arrived.
