A 21-year-old Albanian and a 24-year-old Italian have been arrested in Milan, in the Vermezzo area, on charges of drug trafficking. During the operation, police found 500 grams of hashish and 0.9 grams of cocaine, ready for sale.
Investigations revealed that the two young men used secret codes to hide their illegal activity. In an intercepted conversation, one of them said: “ I'm coming back from Magenta with the McDonald's package... the sandwich ,” referring to drugs.
Italian authorities said this case points to the development of drug trafficking in the areas of Abbiatense and Magentino, where drug buyers often waited.
The parking lot of the McDonald's restaurant in Magenta was one of the main places where money was exchanged, as was the area near the Boffalora-Malpensa roundabout.
A month ago, four more people were arrested in Sedriano on drug-related charges, including a 36-year-old woman from Brescia. The operation led to the seizure of eight kilograms of hashish and around one kilogram of marijuana.
