The Dibra Court has imposed the security measure of "house arrest" on Irini Shehu, the former director of the Peshkopia Regional Hospital, who is suspected of having harassed and threatened several people, employees of this hospital.
According to the Dibra police, who arrested Shehu two days ago, the former director has been harassing the current director of Peshkopia Hospital, Rruzhdi Deda, who replaced her in this position after her dismissal, because she hit the hospital's Chief of Finance, Shaban Uklala, with metal tools.
After the incident, the court ordered that the 44-year-old woman no longer practice as a doctor at the hospital, an order that was broken this Wednesday by the former director, who went to the premises of the Peshkopia Regional Hospital and argued with the employees.
It was precisely the latter who notified the police, who arrived at the hospital premises and handcuffed the 44-year-old.
After being dismissed from her post for the violence inflicted on employee Uklala, former director Shehu, who was being investigated while at large, was also denounced by other hospital employees for insults and threats through messages and phone calls.
