Five people have been arrested for attempted murder after the shooting near Meir, where cocaine was also found.
The 5 people involved in Wednesday's shooting near Meir are accused of attempted murder. A group from Brussels and two Albanians were involved in the armed clash, while all the persons are in prison.
3 people were injured in the gunfight, 38-year-old Salvatore P. from Ganshoren and 23-year-old Sergeyevich AD from Boom EG and 32-year-old Albanian Eno G. with no address in Belgium.
Two others, who were not injured in the shooting at the Jesus Street apartment, were arrested Thursday. It is about the 36-year-old Albanian Findi X., without an address in Belgium, and the 29-year-old Ardak G. from Brussels.
What was the exact purpose of the meeting between the two Albanians and the group of Brussels suspects, remains unclear.
During further investigation, a limited amount of cocaine, approximately 1kg, was found, but it is not certain if this was the reason the two groups had agreed to meet.
Some of those arrested have a criminal record in Belgium.
